We are looking for a seasoned Mechanical Engineer (HVAC & Refrigeration) to support our civil construction projects by overseeing the design, installation, and maintenance of mechanical systems, with a primary focus on HVAC and refrigeration

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop HVAC systems (heating, ventilation, air conditioning) for new construction projects.
  • Perform thermal load calculations and air distribution system designs.
  • Select HVAC equipment and ensure compliance with all relevant standards.
  • Prepare tender documents, cost estimates, and project schedules for HVAC systems.
  • Supervise HVAC system installation, ensuring adherence to specifications and quality standards.
  • Conduct system testing and commissioning, addressing any operational issues.
  • Provide ongoing maintenance support and guide operational teams for system longevity.
  • Ensure compliance with environmental and energy efficiency standards.
  • Maintain accurate progress reports and monitor system performance post-installation.
  • Collaborate with other engineering teams and contractors to ensure seamless system integration.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 10 years of experience in HVAC and refrigeration engineering, preferably in construction or large-scale infrastructure projects.
  • Proven track record in HVAC system design, installation, and commissioning.
  • Strong knowledge of local and international HVAC standards and regulations.
  • Expertise in thermal load calculations, system balancing, and equipment selection.
  • Experience in project management, cost estimation, and scheduling.
  • Familiarity with environmental and energy efficiency standards in mechanical systems.
  • Excellent problem-solving and leadership skills.
  • Strong communication skills for interacting with stakeholders and project teams.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
  • Relevant certifications in HVAC, mechanical engineering, or related disciplines are preferred.
  • Proficiency in design and simulation software (AutoCAD, Revit, or similar).
