Repair and Maintenance Supervisor

Job PurposeThe Repair and Maintenance Fishing Supervisor for Intervention Services & Downhole Tools (ISDT) is responsible for overseeing all workshop operations, ensuring efficient maintenance, repair, and quality control of downhole tools including Mills, Stabilizers, and wash pipes. This role provides leadership to R&M Technicians while maintaining the highest standards of safety, quality, and operational excellence in accordance with Weatherford's guidelines and industry best practices.Key Responsibilities:Manage the ISDT workshop operations based on operational requirements, ensuring optimal workflow and resource allocationOversee preventive and corrective maintenance activities for downhole tools and equipmentProvide technical guidance and supervision to R&M Specialists in specialized welding techniques including tungsten carbide application and 6G position weldingOversee quality control processes for all maintenance and repair workEnsure strict compliance with all HSE policies and proceduresConduct regular safety meetings and toolbox talksImplement and monitor quality control standards for all workshop activitiesMaintain proper documentation and reporting for HSE incidents and near-missesEnsure proper handling of hazardous materials and radioactive elementsMonitor and control operational costs within the workshopOptimize resource utilization to maximize efficiencyEnsure timely delivery of repaired and maintained tools to meet operational schedulesTrack KPIs related to workshop performance and implement improvementsManage equipment lifecycle to optimize maintenance costs and performanceIdentify and implement process improvements within the ISDT departmentLead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance workshop efficiencyCollaborate with engineering and operations teams to develop innovative solutionsDocument and standardize best practices across the workshopPromote a culture of learning and knowledge sharing among team membersSupervise, mentor, and develop R&M Technician and other workshop personnelConduct performance evaluations and provide constructive feedbackIdentify training needs and coordinate skill development opportunitiesFoster a collaborative and safety-focused work environmentEnsure proper staffing levels to meet operational demandsSkills:Strong technical knowledge of downhole tools and fishing operationsExcellent problem-solving abilities and diagnostic skillsProven leadership and team management capabilitiesStrong communication skills, both verbal and writtenAbility to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and work instructionsExperience in HSE management and quality control processesProficiency in budget management and cost controlAdaptability and willingness to learn new technologies and processesStrong organizational and time management skillsAbility to work under pressure and meet tight deadlinesQualifications:Experience: Minimum 4 years of experience in Fishing operations within ISDT (Intervention Services & Downhole Tools)Education: High School Diploma or equivalent; Technical diploma or certification preferredKnowledge: Comprehensive understanding of downhole tools, maintenance procedures, and fishing operationsLeadership: Demonstrated supervisory experience in a technical workshop environmentAbout UsWeatherford is a leading global energy services company.
