Urgent Requirement for the Position " Switchgear Design Engineer" In Kuwait

Job Description:

We are currently seeking an experienced and skilled Switchgear Design Engineer to join a leading company in Kuwait. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in the design, development, and testing of Low Voltage (LV) and Medium Voltage (MV) switchgear systems.Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop LV/MV switchgear panels as per client and project specifications.
  • Prepare electrical drawings, single-line diagrams (SLDs), general arrangement (GA) drawings, and wiring diagrams using AutoCAD or similar software.
  • Coordinate with the project, production, and sales teams to ensure designs meet quality and delivery timelines.
  • Ensure compliance with international standards such as IEC, ANSI, and local regulations.
  • Review technical specifications and client requirements for custom switchgear solutions.
  • Provide technical support during manufacturing, testing, and commissioning stages.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
  • Should have experience in switchgear design, preferably in the GCC region.
  • Proficient in AutoCAD, EPLAN, or equivalent design software.
  • Strong understanding of IEC standards and electrical safety regulations.
  • Experience in both LV & MV design will be a strong advantage.
  • Good communication skills and ability to work in a cross-functional team.
