Sr. Instructor

Kuwait Airways is activity recruiting for the position of Sr. Instructor (C), Aviation Security Training in the Training department. In this role your responsibilities will include but not limited to:

Basic Function and Scope:

Prepares new or modified training courses and instructs KAC trainees or regular employees in security techniques and procedures updating, reviewing and conducting of Basic, Intermediate, Advanced levels and Conversion courses. Ensures that sufficient supply of materials, equipment and training facilities are set up prior to course presentation. Coordinates nominations and training history cards updating. Follows up on trainees' performance and maintains his personal teaching qualifications. Supervises administrative functions associated with course nominations, compiling profiles and student record keeping. Ensures that all new KAC procedures, International or Government regulations and/or equipment changes are incorporated into appropriate Security training materials and courses and a central library is maintained.

Tasks and Duties:

a. Prepares, updates and maintains security training course materials during scheduled year's instruction. Includes course syllabus, training manual, handouts and transparencies and slides used for instruction. Updates materials as needed to include new equipment, procedures or techniques introduced to KAC operations, and maintains related course documentation in a central control library. Monitors the use of supplies utilized in courses and raises requisition for replenishment.

b. Conducts courses in security for staff in trainee positions, or advanced and refresher courses to update regular employees on new procedures or equipment. Includes demonstration and operation of security equipment. Utilises training aids required and visits to aircrafts, airport and/or other Corporation's premises to demonstrate security procedures and operations. Liaises with the Ministry of Interior to coordinate and determine training needs pertaining to security personnel.

c. Modifies basic or regular training courses to respond to on-off training needs suggested by Security Department, other KCA departments, outstation managers or other airlines. Includes determining specific needs and training areas in liaison with supervisor, modifying standard materials to suit specific requirements, arranging for the availability of sufficient supplies of materials based on proposed attendance, and presenting courses in the Security Department or at user location as required. In liaison with supervisor, ensures that training facilities are set-up with requisite materials and equipment prior to course presentation.

a. Diploma in aviation security.

b. Minimum 11 years' experience in aviation security field, including 2 years as Instructor, Aviation Security Training.
