Sr. Instructor

Kuwait Airways is activity recruiting for the position of Sr. Instructor (B), Cargo Training in the Training department. In this role your responsibilities will include but not limited to:

Basic Function and Scope:

Prepares new courses and instructs KU and GHA employees in Cargo handling, Sales and Reservation services and procedures. Practice excellence in teaching and instruction. Demonstrate evidence of professional growth and keep abreast with current academic level. Carry out the responsibilities specific to his area, department and/or program. Contribute to the commercial training section by participating in activities for growth and development. To keep the course material updated and reviewed.

Tasks and Duties:

a. Prepares, updates and maintains training courses for employees involved in Cargo Handling, Tariff and Reservation, this also includes training Live Animals, Perishable and Dangerous Goods Regulations as per IATA, KAC and DGCA standards and procedures. To prepare complete course syllabi and utilize standard methods of evaluation listed in course outlines or other materials approved by the department. Constantly strive to improve instruction through self-analysis.

b. Observation and study of new instructional techniques for lecture. Follow approved policies and procedures in the conduct of all instructional activities.

c. Conducts all level of Cargo Courses, including revalidation and licensing course for KAC and GHA staff in Kuwait and out stations. Demonstrates and visit to the cargo area to familiarize participants with the activities of cargo handling if deemed necessary. Liaises and coordinate with other departments.

d. Continual revision and updating of course content and materials of instruction. Begin class on time in an orderly, organized fashion. Be courteous to and approachable by students. Use effective motivation to help stimulate a personal desire to learn the subject/skill(s).

e. Participates with Superior in the preparation and administration of required theoretical, practical and behavioral tests and examinations as per Human Resources Department policies. Continuously monitors trainees' progress in behavior and appearance for inclusion in the training profile; may recommend trainee termination during course for low behavioural standards or overall unsuitability. Discusses trainees' feedback on one-to-one basis.

a. Completion of Highschool Degree (12 years) and preferably university degree holder. In addition to holding Diploma in Air Cargo or certificates in Advanced Cargo and Dangerous Goods Regulations.

b. Minimum 13 years' experience in Cargo.
