Job Title: IT Asset Strategist

This role involves developing and implementing strategies for IT asset management, ensuring optimal utilization and efficient operations. The successful candidate will maintain an accurate inventory of all IT assets, track asset details such as serial numbers and warranty information, and ensure that all assets are properly configured and deployed.

Main Responsibilities:
  • IT Asset Strategy Development:

  • The IT Asset Strategist will develop and implement comprehensive strategies for IT asset management, aligning with business goals and objectives.

  • They will work closely with internal teams to identify asset requirements and ensure seamless deployment.

  • Additionally, they will oversee the maintenance and upgrade of IT assets to ensure optimal performance and efficiency.

  • The IT Asset Strategist will also monitor and manage software licenses to ensure compliance with licensing agreements.

Vendor Relationship Management:
  • Vendor Engagement:

  • The IT Asset Strategist will establish and maintain relationships with IT vendors, ensuring timely delivery of products and services.

  • They will negotiate contracts and agreements with vendors, ensuring favorable terms and compliance with business requirements.

  • Additionally, they will monitor vendor performance and track service level agreements (SLAs) to ensure adherence to contract terms.

  • The IT Asset Strategist will collaborate with internal teams to identify vendor needs and find suitable solutions.

  • They will review and approve vendor invoices, ensuring accurate billing and compliance with contracts.

  • Finally, they will address any vendor-related issues, ensuring timely resolution.

Procurement:
  • Purchasing and Procurement:

  • The IT Asset Strategist will assist in the procurement of IT hardware, software, and services, ensuring cost-effective purchases aligned with business needs.

  • They will work with the finance department to ensure budget compliance in asset purchases.

  • Additionally, they will ensure that all asset procurements follow internal approval and audit processes.

Reporting and Documentation:
  • Reporting and Record Keeping:

  • The IT Asset Strategist will generate regular reports on IT asset status, vendor performance, and budget adherence for senior management.

  • They will maintain accurate records of vendor contracts, purchase orders, invoices, and asset-related documents.
