Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Health and Safety Manager to oversee the implementation of safety programs at remote facilities in Kuwait and other nearby countries.

Responsibilities:

  • Implement and manage a comprehensive safety plan in accordance with EM 385-1-1 Safety and Health Requirements Manual and the TF SAFE Accident Prevention Plan.
  • Interface between clients and contractor project teams, ensuring effective communication and collaboration.
  • Develop accident and loss prevention programs, conducting regular safety audits to prevent incidents.
  • Conduct daily safety meetings with on-site personnel, developing plans and procedures to meet specific safety needs.
  • Maintain records of training activities and employee programs, monitoring their effectiveness.
  • Identify loss-producing conditions and practices, recommending corrective action.
  • Develop training manuals and training aids for internal use, training employees on fundamentals of the Accident Prevention Program.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of five years of experience managing similar safety programs with 20+ personnel under USACE programs.
  • Qualification in accordance with EM 385-1-1, Section 1-3.
  • Completion of the 30-hour OSHA General Industry or construction safety training and 24 hours of documented safety training every 3 years or equivalent formal training.
  • Licensed master electrician.
  • Exceptional computer skills in common business software, including email, spreadsheets, and document management.

About the Position:

The selected candidate will work under austere conditions in Kuwait, passing a medical screening physical and background check before deployment. The ability to adapt to changing work locations is essential, as the position may require relocation to other nearby countries.
