Job Description:

The Last Mile Delivery Operations Manager plays a crucial role in ensuring efficient and timely delivery operations across various markets. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of managing drivers, optimizing store-level performance, and improving customer experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Visit stores to monitor day-to-day operations and on-time delivery performance.
  • Perform detailed store audits using the company's system/app and follow up on audit open points until closure.
  • Escalate delays due to preparation to respective stakeholders and collaborate with other teams.
  • Monitor and improve driver performance and compliance for allocated stores.
  • Manage driver roster with proper allocation of shifts/breaks/off-days for assigned stores.
  • Control usage of DOD and negotiate rates with vendors during contract renewal.
  • Increase productivity of drivers by monitoring peak hour performance for assigned stores.
  • Groom rider quality (behavior, appearance, professionalism, presentation) and ensure safety guidelines are followed.
  • Do periodic driver briefings and recognize top performers for each store.
  • Set up performance improvement plans to enhance low-performing stores and riders.
  • Monitor VOC dashboard reports and reduce delivery complaints from customers.
  • Review peak hour assignment time and take actions to minimize assignment time through proper rostering, absenteeism, and covering peak hours.
  • Review high drive time areas and area mapping for assigned stores and make necessary adjustments.
  • Reduce customer contact rate for all channels for assigned stores.
  • Reduce transfer of orders for assigned stores by reworking on area mapping.
  • Conduct periodic last-mile capacity reviews and adjust fleet as per forecasted volume to maintain CPO and UTR within budget.
  • Hold regular meetings with brand stakeholders to present performance, highlight improvement areas, and request support required from the brand.
