Job Overview

We are seeking a Senior Procurement Engineer to support the Procurement department in developing and implementing strategies to identify, develop, and upgrade the supplier base to meet business needs.

The successful candidate will have excellent interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills, with strong analytical and problem-solving skills. They must be able to work independently and connect with all levels of the organization.

Responsibilities
  • Supplier Relationship Management
    • Manage relationships with suppliers to ensure they deliver quality products at optimal cost.
    • Monitor supplier performance (cost, quality, and delivery).
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration
    • Collaborate with different functions (Global Procurement, Engineering, Operations, Quality, and Distribution) in managing procurement issues: materials expediting, supply issue mitigation including support end of life and alternate sourcing proposals, ECO / PCN / TMD process, quality investigation, and engineering evaluations.
  • Design for Manufacturing
    • Provide Design for Manufacturing (DFM) input to product designs relating to manufacturability, cost reduction, and ease of manufacture, by liaising closely with the design group and suppliers.
  • Performance Analysis and Improvement
    • Perform cost analysis, periodic repricing review, and track the site PPV / SCR performance.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management or Engineering (mechanical, electrical, or electro-mechanical).
  • Minimum 5 years relevant experience in a procurement and manufacturing-based environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Must be able to work independently and connect with all levels of the organization.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
  • Proficient in MS Office; MRP experience will be highly considered.
  • Ability to travel as required.
