Aerospace Engineer

As a UH-60 Aircraft Mechanic AM-I, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety and reliability of aircraft systems.

1. Remove and install aircraft subsystem assemblies and components such as engines, rotors, transmissions, mechanical flight controls and their components.
2. Service and lubricate aircraft and subsystems.
3. Safely prepare aircraft for inspections and maintenance checks and services.
4. Perform scheduled inspections and assist in performing special inspections.
5. Perform limited maintenance operational checks and diagnoses and troubleshoots aircraft systems using special tools and test equipment as required.
6. Use and perform operator maintenance on tools, special tools and aircraft ground support equipment.
7. Apply comprehensive technical expertise to solve moderate to complex problems by interpreting technical documentation such as aircraft Technical Manuals, Maintenance Information and Action Messages and all technical guidance provided through government official representatives.
8. Maintain and repair aircraft components including but not limited to flight controls, engines, hydraulics, pneumatics, fuel systems, and mechanical components.
9. Apply technical knowledge of airframe and power plant systems in determining equipment malfunctions and use required expertise in restoring equipment condition and or operation.
10. Participate in maintenance test flights and operation checks as required.
11. Perform other duties as requested.

1. High School Diploma or equivalent required.
2. A valid up-to-date FAA A&P certificate is preferred.
3. If No FAA A&P certificate; candidate Must have Three (3) years aviation maintenance experience, with a minimum of two (2) years on the assigned UH-60 Mission Design Series (MDS).
4. All experience must be within the Six (6) most recent years.
5. Must be in possession of a U.S. Passport with a min. 2 plus years validity and be able to travel internationally.
6. Must be able to obtain and maintain facility Public Trust NAC-I. Note: US Citizenship is required for facility Public Trust NAC-I at this work location.
7. Must be able to pass the CENTCOM Medical requirement to deploy.
8. Must be able to obtain Kuwait Visa.

1. Must be able to walk and stand on level and/or inclined surfaces for extended periods throughout the day.
2. Must be able to climb stairs, ramps, ladders, and work stands.
3. Must be able to crouch, crawl, grasp or handle objects, use finger dexterity, bend elbow/knee and reach above/below shoulders.
4. May be required to lift heavy objects whose weight may exceed 50 pounds.
5. Must be able to type using a standard keyboard to communicate through e-mail and various software applications.
6. Will handle dirty parts and lubricants.
7. Will be required to wear proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
8. Must be able to pass a Respirator Physical and Fit Test qualification.
9. May be required to operate power vehicles, machinery, hand tools, ground support equipment, forklift, etc.
10. Must be able to lift/push/pull minimum of 50 pounds.
11. May work in maintenance shop or outside.
12. Must be able to work in a shop where the environment is drafty, noisy, and dirty.
13. May be exposed to extreme noise from operating equipment.
14. May be exposed to electrical shock hazards or work near moving mechanical parts or vehicles.
15. Occasionally lifts objects up to 50 pounds.
16. Most heavy lifting is accomplished through the use of mechanical devices.
17. May be expected to work in austere environments and all-weather conditions.
