Main Responsibilities

• This role is permanently assigned to projects with a proven track record of initiating meaningful project control in a multi-project environment.

The Key Responsibilities Of This Position Revolve Around

• Manpower planning and forecasting
• Cost estimating and budgeting
• Project management plan preparation and implementation
• Client financial approvals documentation and compliance
• Cost control engineering and optimization
• Project scheduling and coordination
• Change management and risk mitigation
• Corporate and client cost and schedule progress reporting
• Managing the document control system
• Risk management reviews and assessments

Specific Accountabilities

• You will assure provision of full project controls, including planning/scheduling, estimation, and cost control services for assigned projects.
• You will prepare and issue comprehensive monthly project progress reports with analysis of status.
• You will provide reports required under the contract.
• You are responsible for ensuring assigned projects are executed according to approved project management plans (PMPs) regarding man-hours, cost, quality, scope of work, and time schedule.
• You will identify areas of concern regarding project progress and recommend corrective actions when necessary.
• You will be tasked with identifying and recruiting project controls personnel.
• You will implement suitable systems, processes, tools, and procedures.

Functional Management

• You are responsible for sourcing, developing, and mentoring project controls specialists.
• You will hold custodianship of project controls systems, processes, and tools.
• You are responsible for reviewing, auditing, and improving project controls activities on specific projects.
• You will demonstrate project controls capability in cost control and scheduling to existing and potential clients (business development).
• You are expected to be directly involved in executing key projects, including proposal preparation, team coaching, and sponsorship.

• You must be self-motivated, proactive, and work well with a team.
• You will be seen as the subject matter specialist for resolving issues across all areas of the job and clearly explaining complex processes.
• You will ensure the integrity of the work scope and that all work is carried out in accordance with applicable codes and standards.
• You will mentor less experienced members of staff, including 'hands-on' approach to training programs for local personnel.

Preferred Qualifications And Experience

• You will possess an engineering degree or equivalent diploma from an accredited college or university.
• You must have work experience within PMC projects in the above-mentioned industries.
• You will have experience working with advanced engineering tools, data systems, and general office/engineering software.
• You will have excellent communication and people skills, with the ability to interact effectively with people of all nationalities and cultures.
• You will have broad-based knowledge of requirements for process engineering through all phases of project life cycles, from FEED to Commissioning, within Oil & Gas or related industries.
• You will demonstrate leadership/coaching/mentoring abilities and can manage multiple priorities effectively.
• You will be willing to engage and manage clients as required by the needs of the business.
