Job Responsibilities

The Procurement and Logistics Coordinator works under direct supervision to plan the sourcing of goods and services to support manufacturing, field operations, technology, or project management strategic plans at the plant level. The coordinator complies with and executes Category Management strategies in accordance with policies and procedures. Purchase orders are issued in response to material requirements established by manufacturing, field operations, or projects. Agreements are implemented for local procurement of goods and services not covered under Category Management. Requests for quotations (RFQ) are created and competitive bidding is organized from various suppliers to obtain the best quality, delivery, and price for goods and services. Supplier performance is assessed. Job tasks, correctly performed, impact indirectly on cost containment, efficiency, profitability, or operations. An undergraduate degree in a technical, business, or similar discipline is required. A minimum of 2 years of experience in procurement or a production environment is necessary. Advanced procurement certification is preferred. Knowledge of Purchase to Pay processes is desirable.
