We are seeking a highly skilled Procurement Specialist to join our team. This is a pivotal role that involves planning and executing sourcing strategies to support manufacturing, field operations, technology, or project management strategic plans at the plant level.

Job Description

This role requires direct supervision, with responsibilities including:

  • Executing Category Management strategies in accordance with policies and procedures
  • Issuing purchase orders in response to material requirements established by manufacturing, field operations, or projects
  • Implementing agreements for local procurement of goods and services not covered under Category Management
  • Creating request for quotations (RFQ) and organizing competitive biddings from various suppliers to obtain the best quality, delivery, and price for goods and services

The ideal candidate will have an undergraduate degree in a technical, business, or similar discipline and minimum 2 years of experience in procurement or production environment. Advanced procurement certification is preferred.

Key Responsibilities

Assessing supplier performance is a critical aspect of this role, as job tasks correctly performed can impact cost containment, efficiency, profitability, or operations. The ability to evaluate and mitigate risks associated with supply chain disruptions is essential.
