Job Description:

This is a skilled position for a flexographic printing press operator who will be responsible for setting up and operating the press to print various designs and lettering on rolls of flexible plastic film, paper, and nonabsorbent stock.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Setting up and operating the flexographic printing press to print designs or lettering on rolls of flexible materials
  • Filling dye fonts with prescribed inks or dyes
  • Adjusting the position of the cylinder to print multiple colors without overlapping or smearing previously printed areas
  • Securing rolls on the press and regulating roll tension and feed
  • Starting the press and adjusting speed, tension, and alignment as necessary
  • Cutting samples of printed material and inspecting for imperfections
  • Cleaning the rubber plate, cylinder, and dye fonts
  • Mixing inks or dyes to produce desired colors
  • Operating the press with laminator attachment to print and laminate polyethylene or cellophane sheeting
Requirements:

We require a skilled flexo operator with experience working with similar machines. Experience with paper cup printing is highly preferred.
