Firefighter Professional

This role involves responding to various emergencies, operating as a firefighter under the supervision of the Fire Officer. Maintaining vehicles, equipment, tools, and protective clothing in good working order is crucial. Extinguishing fires and taking precautions to prevent rekindling are essential tasks. Operate pumps, foam generators, turrets, nozzles, and other firefighting tools and equipment safely. Comply with health and safety standards and wear personal protective clothing.
Responsibilities:- Team Collaboration: Participate as a positive team member, understanding and conforming to the LOGCAP V contract Performance Work Statement.
- Safety First: Actively participate in maintaining a safe workplace, prioritizing safety above all else.
- EHS and QA Compliance: Comply with Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) and Quality Assurance (QA) requirements and goals.
- Documentation: Maintain necessary documentation to meet EHS and QA requirements.
- Equipment Maintenance: Ensure emergency equipment is operational and ready for use as per NFPA or industry standards.
- Cleaning and Maintenance: Maintain and clean personal protective equipment and work effectively with team members to clean equipment and facilities.
- Fire Inspections and Pre-Incident Planning: Conduct fire inspections, pre-incident planning, and ensure facilities are safe, documenting and tracking accordingly.
- Communication Equipment: Operate computerized digital fire alarm receiving equipment, including two-way radio communications equipment.
- Administrative Duties: Perform additional property control and logistical duties in support of fire department operations, including scheduling maintenance and coordinating appointments.
- Rescue Operations: Serve as a team member on rescue units, ladder trucks, engine companies, water tenders, or airport ARFF apparatus.
- Fighting Fires and Performing Rescues: Enter burning or contaminated structures, vehicles, and areas to fight fires and perform rescues while wearing required PPE.
- Emergency Events: Respond to structural fires, aircraft fires, rescue operations, medical emergencies, hazardous materials responses, and other emergency events according to standard procedures.
- Metric Tracking: Adequately track data related to organizational metrics and provide direct support to achieve LOGCAP V metrics.
