The Telecommunications Network Engineer is responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining network infrastructure, including microwave, fiber optics, and private branch exchange (PBX) LANs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Designs and implements network infrastructure, including microwave, fiber optics, and PBX LANs.
  • Develops and maintains network designs, diagrams, and documentation.
  • Ensures that all network infrastructure meets the required standards and specifications.
  • Collaborates with cross-functional teams to identify and implement process improvements.
  • Responsible for the overall maintenance of ISP installations, as well as with new equipment.
  • Researches local power code and policies to be integrated into the network design process.
  • Conducts proposed project site surveys and examines As-Built plans and test results.
  • Provides engineering guidance on telecommunication, CCTV, CATV, and IDS issues.

Requirements:

  • US Citizenship required.
  • Active Secret Clearance or above required.
  • Associate degree in Engineering or related field (Electrical and/or Electronics Engineering, Electrical and/or Electronics Communications Engineering, or Telecommunications Engineering).
  • Three (3) or more years of proven work experience in the Telecommunication Engineering field, designing and implementing networks, troubleshooting, and with site surveys as a Telecommunications Network Engineer, or in a similar role.
