American International University (AIU) is seeking dynamic and engaged full-time faculty for its School of Architecture and Design. We value individuals passionate about teaching, mentoring students, and building collaborative learning environments. The successful candidate will be an active member of the design field, capable of teaching studio and technical courses, with proficiency in industry tools such as AutoCAD, Revit, and 3D Max. They should also demonstrate the ability to work effectively with diverse communities and cultures. The position includes responsibilities for research and university service alongside teaching.

Candidates should demonstrate excellence in teaching within the professional Interior Design curriculum, with a focus on leadership in undergraduate programs, curriculum development, mentoring, and startups. We welcome candidates who will diversify our curriculum and faculty regarding race, gender, and ethnicity.

Qualifications:
Teaching and Learning Support
  • University teaching experience is essential.
  • Commitment to excellence in teaching and scholarship.
  • Experience working effectively with diverse university communities.
  • Expertise in Interior Design curriculum.
  • Ability to update and develop professionally.
  • Strong knowledge of Interior Design principles and practices.
Research and Scholarship
  • Active in academic research with a record of international publications.
  • Leadership in curriculum development, mentoring, and startups.
  • Understanding of research and scholarly activity.
  • Experience presenting at academic and practitioner conferences.
  • Ability to organize student exhibitions.
Communication
  • Effective English communication skills.
  • Ability to collaborate across disciplines.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to follow instructions and foster learning activities.
  • Provide a supportive environment for students.
Experience & Education
  • Interior Design: 5 years minimum.
  • University Teaching: 5 years minimum.
  • PhD in Interior Design.
  • Proficiency in English.
