Deliver exceptional clinical care and expertise to patients in assessment, investigation, diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up in the NICU and related hospital units.
Role Responsibilities- Expert neonatal care for critically ill newborns including premature infants, low birth weight infants, and those with congenital anomalies;
- Diagnose and manage various neonatal conditions including respiratory failure, infections, cardiac anomalies, metabolic disorders, and neurological issues;
- Perform invasive procedures such as intubation, lumbar puncture, chest tube insertion, and umbilical line placement;
- Oversee care involving advanced therapies like CPAP, mechanical ventilation, and parenteral nutrition;
- Participate in neonatal resuscitation and stabilization during emergencies;
- Supervise and guide junior staff;
- Maintain care standards aligned with current clinical guidelines;
- Contribute to management strategies for high-risk pregnancies and delivery room resuscitations;
- Lead family discussions regarding prognosis and treatment plans;
- Mentor and train medical residents, fellows, and healthcare staff in neonatology;
- Engage in clinical research to enhance patient outcomes.
