Job Description

We are seeking an experienced fashion designer to lead our women's fashion line in Kuwait. As a senior-level role, this position requires a forward-thinking designer with strong technical expertise and a deep understanding of regional fashion sensibilities.

As the successful candidate, you will be at the forefront of design direction, seasonal development, trend forecasting, and product consulting. You will create modern, modest, and culturally relevant fashion collections for women, while also developing high-quality hand-drawn and digital fashion illustrations.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Design & Development
  • Create seasonal women's wear collections with a focus on modern, modest, and culturally relevant fashion.
  • Produce detailed fashion illustrations, tech packs, fabric selections, and garment specifications.
  • Lead fittings, sample reviews, and oversee product development from concept to final product.
  • Fashion Illustration & Visual Communication
  • Develop high-quality hand-drawn and digital fashion illustrations.
  • Present concepts and ideas visually to internal teams and clients.
  • Trend Research & Direction
  • Monitor global and regional fashion trends to guide creative direction.
  • Translate trend insights into commercially viable designs.
  • Consulting & Brand Strategy
  • Act as a creative consultant on fabric sourcing, production planning, and brand positioning.
  • Collaborate with merchandising and marketing teams to ensure alignment with brand vision and market demand.
  • Team Leadership & Mentorship
  • Guide junior designers and provide constructive feedback.
  • Set quality benchmarks across the design process.

Qualifications for the role include:

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Fashion Design or related field.
  • Minimum 5–10 years of experience in women's fashion design, with at least 2–3 years in a senior or consulting role.
  • Strong portfolio showcasing fashion illustration, design development, and completed collections.
  • Deep knowledge of garment construction, textiles, and embellishment techniques.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop) and CAD tools.
  • Excellent communication, time management, and presentation skills.
  • Experience in or familiarity with the GCC/Middle East market is a strong advantage.
