Cloud Engineer

The Role of a Cloud Engineer is multifaceted and dynamic, requiring a deep understanding of cloud infrastructure and its applications.

We are seeking an experienced professional to manage and optimize our cloud services, ensuring their security, reliability, and scalability.

The ideal candidate will have expertise in deploying, maintaining, and continuously improving cloud-based services across multiple regions.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Administer and maintain the cloud infrastructure, planning for future expansion to additional cloud providers (Huawei Cloud, Google Cloud Platform, Azure).
  • Monitor and optimize cloud resources to ensure cost-efficiency and performance.

Cloud Management

The successful candidate will be responsible for the deployment, scaling, and maintenance of microservices hosted in Kubernetes clusters.

  • Implement best practices for fault tolerance, load balancing, and scaling strategies.

Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity

The ideal candidate will develop and maintain in-premises disaster recovery solutions, ensuring data integrity and business continuity.

  • Implement backup and data recovery plans.

Security and Compliance

The successful candidate will implement and monitor security measures to protect sensitive financial data, ensuring compliance with financial regulations in all operational countries.

  • Maintain a multi-cloud strategy to enhance redundancy and scalability.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

The ideal candidate will collaborate with internal teams, including development and operations, to ensure seamless integration of cloud-based services.

  • Work with external partners to facilitate transactions.

Documentation and Training

The successful candidate will maintain comprehensive documentation of cloud infrastructure and procedures, training and supporting team members in effectively managing cloud resources.

  • Implement observability tools to monitor the health and performance of cloud services.

Requirements and Qualifications

  • 10+ years of proven track record in a similar role.
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in managing cloud infrastructure, with expertise in Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) and familiarity with Huawei Cloud, GCP, and Azure.
  • Strong knowledge of Kubernetes and microservices deployment.
  • Experience in disaster recovery planning and implementation.
  • In-depth understanding of security and compliance in the financial industry.
  • Experience with multi-cloud strategies and cloud expansion.
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Certified Kubernetes Administrator) are a plus.
