Job Description:


Are you a skilled software engineer looking for a new challenge? Vectrus has an exciting opportunity for a Data Analytics Algorithm Developer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining web applications, intranet and internet webpages, and Share Point sites. You will work with our team to gain an initial understanding of the desired solution and iteratively develop and refine the UI and backend. You will also participate in product development from concept to execution to launch, ensuring the product fully serves the needs of the end user.


Responsibilities:



  • Develop and maintain software modules of web, database, and work collaboration applications in support of authorized software and maintain software program standards and procedures for software development projects
  • Assist with defining requirements, recommending solutions, and implementing desired solutions
  • Recommend and coordinate resolution of software problems when discrepancies are identified
  • Advise project teams in the use of software engineering technologies, providing instruction, consulting, and guidelines on software
  • Provide continuing investigation of methods to improve software quality and software development productivity
  • Develop and manage intranet and internet web pages, create and publish on local intranet/Share Point site local home book/contract information
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements:



  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science (BSCS), Engineering, Science or similar field and/or equivalent work experience
  • IT-related certifications desirable
  • Must be a US National
  • Must have a Valid Home Country Driver's License to be able to obtain Host Country Driver's License
  • Must have an Active Security Clearance and be able to maintain
  • Proficiency in testing frameworks and writing tests, proficiency in common development tools, such as Git and Dev Ops
  • Able to read, write, and communicate orally in English with a high level of proficiency
  • Proficient level of computer skills in the use of MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook)
  • 3-5 years' experience developing and maintaining web servers in a Microsoft Environment, servers and Share Point
  • 1-3 years development experience with VB, Java, .NET or equivalent tools

Working Conditions:


The worker may be required to spend extended time in a computer room environment. Physical Requirements: Sedentary work. Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time. Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required only occasionally and all other sedentary criteria are met.
