Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Logistics Management Specialist to support our operations.
This role will involve utilizing various systems, including Defense Property Accountability System (DPAS), Global Combat Support System- Army (GCSS-A), and Army Materiel Status System (AMSS). The ideal candidate will have expertise in basic military logistics, supply, and maintenance shop operations. Additionally, they should be subject matter experts in property book or equivalent utilization of accountable property systems, such as GCSS-A, DPAS, or online databases.
Key Responsibilities:
- Utilize defense property accountability systems to manage logistics operations.
- Develop life cycle cost analysis, estimates, and alternatives for logistics planning initiatives.
- Analyze and evaluate support requirements to sustain operations at alternative locations.
- Research operational requirements to develop logistics plans and stationing criteria.
- Integrate logistics planning initiatives into supportable programming documentation.
Requirements:
- A U.S government Top Secret security clearance with SCI eligibility is required. Some positions may require a polygraph.
- A Bachelor's degree in Logistics Management, Business Administration, or a related field from an accredited college or university, along with 10 years of experience in military logistics or civilian equivalent training, and fourteen years' experience in total.
- Fluent English language skills, including the ability to read, write, and comprehend relevant documentation.
- Military 92A, 92Y, and/or 92Z training/experience is desired.
- Detailed knowledge and understanding of customs, tariffs, and duties, as well as the ability to interface with foreign customs authorities to expedite movement of parts through the customs process.
