We are looking for a passionate educator to join our team as an Intervention Specialist. This role involves working with students who need additional support to achieve their academic goals.

About the Position

In this role, you will work directly with students in small groups or one-on-one settings, providing targeted academic support in literacy, numeracy, and subject-specific areas. Your expertise in intervention strategies and progress monitoring tools will enable you to identify areas where students need additional support and develop effective plans to address these needs.

You will collaborate closely with classroom teachers, counselors, and learning support teams to ensure that students receive comprehensive support and guidance. Your ability to communicate effectively with parents and caregivers will be essential in keeping them informed of their child's progress and involving them in their educational journey.

Responsibilities
  • Work with students in small groups or one-on-one settings to provide targeted academic support in literacy, numeracy, and subject-specific areas.
  • Collaborate with teachers, counselors, and learning support teams to identify students who need additional support and develop effective plans to address these needs.
  • Use data-driven methods to assess student progress and adjust instructional strategies to ensure measurable academic improvement.
  • Develop and implement engaging, scaffolded lessons that build essential skills while promoting student independence and academic resilience.
  • Maintain regular communication with parents and caregivers to provide updates, gather insights, and promote shared strategies for student success.
  • Participate in professional development and contribute to a school-wide culture of continuous improvement and inclusive education.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Education, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
  • Experience working in middle and/or high school settings in intervention, learning support, or student services roles.
  • Strong understanding of differentiation, intervention strategies, and progress monitoring tools.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a collaborative mindset.
