Job Description:

Overview

The Crane Operator plays a pivotal role in the success of our organization by providing lift, move, position, and support to various sections. This individual is expected to exhibit superior workmanship and maintain a quality end product.

The operator will follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to ensure that all tasks are accomplished safely and with a focus on quality. They will also complete all tasks in accordance with local Environmental, Health, and Safety directives.

In addition, the Crane Operator will assist leadership with mentoring new-hire personnel to develop appropriate skillsets. They will address customer concerns promptly, professionally, and courteously.

Qualifications
  • Minimum Qualifications/Certifications:
    • High School diploma or equivalent.
    • Home country heavy-duty driver's license for crane operation, with the ability to obtain a U.S. Government Motor Vehicle Operator's license.
    • National Commission of Certification of Crane Operators (NCCCO) certification is mandatory.
  • Experience:
    • At least 4 years of mobile crane operation with certification.
    • Experience with material handling equipment (forklifts) is a plus.
    • Basic mechanical knowledge preferred.
    • Ability to read and interpret road maps, traffic signs, signals, and regulations.
    • Knowledge of cargo securing methods and rigging techniques.
    • Knowledge of US and Kuwait driving regulations is preferred.
    • Understanding safety directives and policies for equipment operation.
  • Skills:
    • Operate cranes and heavy equipment.
    • Perform safety inspections of cranes, equipment, and rigging.
    • Communicate professionally in speech and writing.
    • Interact professionally with customers, military, and agency officials.
  • Working Conditions:
    • Work outdoors, potentially exposed to extreme weather, dust storms, and high temperatures (up to 130°F).
    • Potential exposure to chemicals or biological agents; PPE required in certain areas.
    • Normal workweek is 48 hours, with possible overtime or shifts.
  • Physical Requirements:
    • Involves lifting, climbing, sitting, standing, and other physical efforts.
    • Visual, hearing, and speaking requirements apply.
