Procurement Specialist Role

This position requires an experienced supply chain professional to oversee the procurement process for construction projects. The successful candidate will analyze project scopes, develop and execute procurement plans, and negotiate contracts with vendors.
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze project scopes and technical specifications to determine material and service requirements.
- Develop and execute procurement plans, including identifying and sourcing potential suppliers, subcontractors, and service providers.
- Request, collect, and compare price quotations from vendors.
- Negotiate pricing, delivery schedules, and contract terms.
- Monitor and report on vendor performance, ensuring compliance with industry standards and company policies.
- Manage procurement budgets, tracking expenses and reporting regularly.
- Collaborate with project management, engineering, and logistics teams to ensure successful project execution.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, Business, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- 6–8 years of proven experience in construction procurement, preferably in a similar role.
- Strong understanding of construction materials, tools, equipment, and industry standards.
- Preferred: Experience working on construction projects within US Army Bases and familiarity with their procurement procedures.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Strong negotiation and vendor management skills.
- Excellent communication skills (verbal and written).
- Ability to work independently and within a team environment.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
- Knowledge of cost analysis, budget control, and procurement planning.
- High attention to detail and accuracy in documentation.
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks under tight deadlines.
