About the Job

American International University is seeking a results-driven Lab Operations Coordinator to join its team. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating all aspects of laboratory operations.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Coordinating the purchasing and storage of lab supplies to ensure optimal functionality.
  2. Evaluating the performance of lab technicians and developing strategies for improvement.
  3. Collaborating with faculty to create lab schedules that meet academic needs.
  4. Developing and enforcing lab safety policies to maintain a secure working environment.
  5. Overseeing the maintenance and upkeep of lab equipment to prevent downtime.
  6. Preparing and submitting requests for new equipment and resources.
  7. Establishing standard operating procedures for each lab to ensure consistency and efficiency.
  8. Coordinating annual training for lab technicians and instructors.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in a related field.
  • At least 2 years of experience in laboratory supervision.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in a supervisory role with a focus on scientific laboratories.
  • Ongoing education in laboratory management and safety practices.
  • Master's degree or higher in a related field.
