Job Description:

This role is responsible for providing lift, move, position, and support to the Roads and Grounds Section. It requires superior workmanship, a focus on quality, and adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to ensure all tasks are accomplished safely.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  1. Lifting and Moving: Develop an effective plan for the layout, security, and safekeeping of materials and equipment during loading, delivering, and unloading. Manipulate the machine to hoist, position, and/or transport material such as machinery, equipment, and other construction products.
  2. Vehicle Maintenance: Perform daily preventative maintenance inspections on assigned vehicles and ensures vehicles meet all Kuwaiti and US Government safety requirements for operation on public roadways. Maintain a vehicle log in accordance with applicable rules and regulations.
  3. Safety Protocols: Follow appropriate safety procedures when transporting equipment. Responsible for inspecting the condition of the work site prior to setting up the crane. Reports vehicle defects, malfunctions, accidents, traffic violations, or damage to the vehicles immediately to the supervisor or manager.
  4. Crane Operation: Controls cranes, lifts, and other equipment using standard operating procedures to ensure effective transportation of materials and safety for all personnel on site.
Requirements:
  • Education: High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • Experience: A minimum of 4 years of operating mobile cranes with a Certificate.
  • Licenses and Certifications: Home country Heavy Duty Driver's License for operating crane equipment, and the ability to obtain a U.S. Government Motor Vehicle Operator's License. National Commission of Certification of Crane Operators (NCCCO) mandatory.
Skills and Qualifications:
  • Physical Demands: Physical requirements include lifting, climbing, extended sitting or standing, or other physical efforts that are normally required. Visual acuity, hearing, and speaking requirements also necessary.
  • Technical Skills: Ability to operate a Crane and Heavy Equipment. Basic mechanical knowledge preferred.
  • Communication: Communicates professionally, both orally and in writing.
