About the Role:
Pace | Architecture, Engineering + Planning is seeking a highly skilled Architect to lead our architectural design team. As a seasoned professional, you will be responsible for overseeing specific elements of projects with minimal direction and supervision from senior architects or senior team members.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Independently review and validate your work before submitting it for review by senior architects or senior team members.
  • Prepare detailed BIM models and drawings using software such as Autodesk Revit and coordinate with other disciplines.
  • Develop innovative solutions to assigned tasks and create comprehensive research and documentation to support these solutions.
  • Proactively check and coordinate project documents to ensure they meet client requirements, industry standards, and project BIM Execution Plans.
  • Ensure the accuracy and quality of discipline BIM model information and presentation.
  • Take ownership of your work and the output of your team.
  • Prepare various schedules, including wall, partition, door, ceiling, louvre, and finishes, and carry out quality assurance.
  • Collaborate with other disciplines regarding coordination issues and common design and BIM model development tasks.
  • Regularly review and check your deliverables for accuracy, efficiency, and thoroughness to ensure delivery meets client requirements and industry standards.
  • Work with the team to communicate, solve, and update design and BIM models for coordination and design issues.
  • Communicate clearly, concisely, and accurately.
  • Determine solutions, methods, and procedures on assignments to deliver products and services.
  • Mentor junior team members.
  • Prepare designs, calculations, sketches, diagrams, schematic drawings, working drawings, details, and specifications.
  • Produce drawings in Revit and coordinate using coordination software.
  • Participate in proactive coordination with internal and external design disciplines to achieve a high-quality consistent set of presentation or design documents that meet client requirements and industry standards.
  • Participate in team meetings and attend client meetings when required.
  • Prepare material schedules and sample boards.
  • Liaise proactively with Statutory Authorities and develop knowledge of local and international codes, regulations, and submission requirements.
  • Participate in developing responses to 3rd party review comments, tender queries, contractor's queries, etc.
  • Delegate effectively and efficiently where appropriate and follow up on delegated tasks until completion.
  • Apply and reinforce standard designs and software across the business.
  • Rigorously challenge the team to drive efficiency.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest software and techniques to increase productivity.
  • Plan and monitor others' work to achieve set deadlines.
  • Understand principles of and be able to work within project budgets which include fees and designing to construction budget.
  • Facilitate compliance of all relevant safety, quality, and environmental management policies, procedures, and controls across the areas of activity to help guarantee employee safety, legislative compliance, and delivery of high-quality products/services and a reliable environmental attitude.

Requirements:
  • A minimum of 6 to 8 years of experience in the same field.
  • International Accreditations (RIBA, AIA, or equivalent), desired.
  • Kuwait Society of Engineers or local engineering society membership.
