This role is located in Kuwait, supporting LOGCAP operations.
Key Responsibilities:- Oversee the operational performance of Furnishings Management, adhering to Amy Regulation 710-2 and AR 735-5.
- Perform inputs in the Global Combat Support System (GCSS-Army) database system.
- Supervise the input of data by other Furnishings staff in the GCSS-Army system.
- Conduct routine monthly 10% cyclic inventories and 100% inventories when the Furnishings Installation Property changes between Secondary Hand Receipt Holders.
- Record/verify serial numbers, model & quantity of given items and advise the Secondary Hand Receipt Holder and the Manager of float stock shortages for reorder.
- Review work in-progress to ensure accurate results and to assess quality and quantity produced by employees on all shifts.
- Manage warehouse storage space.
- Conduct and record daily/weekly inventories of serial numbered items located in the warehouse.
- Prepare documents for turn-in, and conduct turn-in of items needing repair or unserviceable/excess furnishing items to CPC, FMS, DLA, and Landfill disposal.
- Oversee daily and weekly inspections of all vehicles and equipment assigned to Furnishings. Report any unreported vehicle damage immediately to the Billeting Manager and prepare any required documentation.
- Prepare daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, and semi-annual, annual reports, and trackers related to Furnishing operations.
- Assist the ASG-KU Housing Secondary Installation Hand Receipt Holder in conducting market surveys out on the economy.
- Supervise transportation of furniture from the warehouse to locations as requested by the Customer.
- Answer walk-in customer and customer phone inquiries related to Billeting, Furnishings, or Maintenance issues.
- Provide input on work schedules and/or sequence of operations to assure an even distribution of work and meeting of deadlines.
- Assist the Manager in the development, counseling, and training of employees.
- Direct on-the-job training and cross-training for employees.
- Assist/prepares for inspections and responds to Contracting Officer Representative (COR) and Housing NCOIC requests through the Manager.
- Ensure staff compliance with the LOGCAP V Performance Work Statement (PWS), and the Vectrus Policies and Standard Practices (P&SP's).
- Establish and continually enforce a positive safety culture throughout the Billeting operations.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
This position requires strong leadership and management skills, as well as experience in logistics and inventory management. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of furnishings management, including military in and out-processing, and be able to supervise a team of employees.
Qualifications:- Education: High school diploma required. Equivalent experience may be substituted for education.
- Experience: Approximately 3 - 5 years of similar civilian or military customer service experience.
- Skills: Fluent in spoken and written English. Proficient in intermediate level MS Office software applications such as Word, Excel, Access and Power Point.
