Senior Legal Counsel Opportunity

Living and working in Europe, we are seeking an experienced Senior Legal Counsel to join our team in Kuwait. Based at our headquarters, you'll play a pivotal role in providing strategic legal advice for LNG and energy trading activities.

This is a unique opportunity to work on cross-border energy projects and influence high-level strategic decisions in a dynamic industry.

Your Role

  • Leading LNG Transactions: Draft, negotiate, and execute complex long-term LNG Sales & Purchase Agreements (SPAs) valued in the billions.
  • Negotiating LNG Master SPAs: Develop and negotiate agreements with international suppliers and customers to enhance market position.
  • Supporting Trading Activities: Provide legal guidance for spot cargo operations and LNG trading activities.
  • Optimizing LNG Facilities: Design legal frameworks for utilizing LNG facilities, including storage and reloading capacities.
  • Exports: Advise on legal aspects of crude oil and petroleum products exports.
  • Litigations - Dispute Resolution: Oversee legal proceedings and manage litigation and dispute resolution related to LNG activities.
  • Collaborating Across Functions: Work closely with commercial and operational teams to overcome legal challenges and achieve strategic goals.
  • Ensuring Compliance: Guarantee adherence to international energy trading regulations, as well as Kuwait law and corporate governance requirements.
