Clerical Mail Handler

Job Overview:

The Postal Clerk role encompasses a range of responsibilities, including mail sorting, processing, and distribution, as well as administrative tasks such as accounting and customer service.

Core Responsibilities:

• Sort and process mail, verifying and reconciling mail manifests, and ensuring timely delivery to authorized recipients.
• Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with postal regulations and standards.
• Implement and maintain effective mail security protocols, including random X-ray checks and segregation of accountable mail.
• Provide prompt and professional responses to customer inquiries, resolving issues efficiently and effectively.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders, including supervisors, colleagues, and customers.
• Maintain accurate records of mail volume and weight, tracking and analyzing data to inform future operational decisions.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent, valid passport, and OCN requirements/qualifications.
• Experience in military postal training, USPS training, commercial cargo shipping, parcel handling, and/or mail room distribution.
• Basic computer skills, knowledge of postal procedures, and ability to organize and supervise technical operations.
