The Lead Contracts Administrator plays a critical role in managing, advising on, and administering all activities concerned with contracts for works and services associated with oil and gas facilities projects.
Main Responsibilities:- Manage pre-award activities including bid invitation preparation, processing queries from bidders, evaluation of bids, negotiation, and contract award formalities;
- Administer post-award activities including conducting kick-off meetings, coordinating contract submittals and correspondence, preparing variation orders, claims, and close out;
- Draft Invitation to Tender packages for large O&G facilities projects and review client contract conditions for accuracy and propose alternative text/clauses as necessary;
- Collaborate with legal, risk management, tax, and accounting personnel to ensure compliance with contractual terms and conditions;
- Participate in negotiating teams to establish the terms and conditions of contracts;
- Monitor and ensure business provisions of assigned contracts are administered in accordance with contractual terms and conditions;
- Prepare documentation for change orders and negotiate approvals with clients;
- Ensure project acceptance documents are prepared and signed by clients;
- Provide business and financial information to clients upon request;
- Identify and resolve contractual problems in a timely manner.
- Bachelor's degree in Science or Arts;
- Chartered status (MRICS) or equivalent professional qualification;
- Post-graduation experience in oil and gas projects;
- Minimum experience in similar roles;
- Extensive knowledge of Contractual Terms & Conditions and Commercial Contract Law;
- Excellent understanding of procurement and contract administration processes and principles;
- Middle East/Arabian Gulf experience is preferred but not mandatory.
