Junior Civil Engineers play a crucial role in planning, designing, and overseeing construction projects. As a Junior Civil Engineer at our organization, you will assist the Project Team Leader/Civil Engineer in creating plans, calculating budgets, and completion timelines and testing environmental impact & materials.

Key Responsibilities
  • Monitoring progress of the team, ongoing projects, and work orders.
  • Ensuring compliance with safety regulations.
  • Conducting on-site inspections for facilities and taking necessary actions to maintain their condition.
  • Supervising fit out, renovation, and expansion projects.
  • Creating construction drawings using software like AutoCAD and Civil 3D.
  • Assisting civil engineers in managing projects workflow, including site visits and coordinating with contractors and stakeholders.
  • Assisting civil engineers with daily duties, from designing structures to inspecting facilities and following project developments.
  • Carrying out technical and feasibility studies and drawing up blueprints that meet technical specifications.
  • Assessing potential risks, materials, and costs.
  • Providing advice and resolving emerging problems/deficiencies creatively.
  • Overseeing and mentoring staff while liaising with various stakeholders.
  • Handing over resulting structures and services to end-users.
  • Monitoring progress and compiling reports on project status.
  • Assisting civil engineers in managing budget and purchasing equipment/materials.
  • Complying with guidelines and regulations, including permits, safety, etc., and delivering technical files and other documentation as required.
Requirements and Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
  • Proven experience (2-3 years) in civil engineering, preferably in infrastructure or construction, renovation projects in Kuwait.
  • Experience in Facilities management field is an advantage.
  • Strong knowledge of civil engineering principles, practices, and techniques.
  • Proficiency in engineering design software such as AutoCAD, 3D, or similar tools.
  • Familiarity with relevant codes, regulations, and standards governing civil engineering projects.
  • Familiarity with construction materials, methods, and techniques.
  • Experience with project management software such as Primavera or Microsoft Project is a plus.
  • Strong commitment to safety and adherence to industry best practices.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team environment.
  • Professional proficiency in English and Arabic languages.
