Junior Civil Engineer
Jazeera Airways is seeking a Junior Civil Engineer who will be responsible for assisting the Project Team Leader/ Civil Engineer in planning, designing, and overseeing construction projects, creating plans, calculating budgets, and completion timelines and testing environmental impact & materials.
Responsibilities and Duties:

• Monitoring progress of the team, ongoing projects, and work orders.

• Ensuring compliance with safety regulations.

• Conducting on-site inspections for facilities and take the necessary action to keep it in a good shape.

• Supervise fit out, renovation, and expansion projects.

• Creating construction drawings using software like AutoCAD and Civil 3D.

• Assisting civil engineer in managing projects workflow, including site visits and coordinating with contractors and stakeholders.

• Assisting civil engineer with daily duties, from designing structures to inspecting facilities and following the project.

• Carry out technical and feasibility studies and draw up blueprints that satisfy technical specifications

• Assess potential risks, materials and costs.

• Provide advice and resolve creatively any emerging problems/deficiencies.

• Oversee and mentor staff and liaise with a variety of stakeholders

• Handle over the resulting structures and services for end-users.

• Monitor progress and compile reports in project status.

• Assisting civil engineer in managing budget and purchase equipment/materials

• Comply with guidelines and regulations including permits, safety etc and deliver technical files and other technical documentation as required.
Requirements and Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.

• Proven experience (2-3 years) in civil engineering, preferably in infrastructure or construction, renovation projects in Kuwait.

• Experience in Facilities management field is an advantage.

• Strong knowledge of civil engineering principles, practices, and techniques.

• Proficiency in engineering design software such as AutoCAD, 3D, or similar tools.

• Familiarity with relevant codes, regulations, and standards governing civil engineering projects.

• Familiarity with construction materials, methods, and techniques.

• Experience with project management software such as Primavera or Microsoft Project is a plus.

• Strong commitment to safety and adherence to industry best practices.

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team environment.

• Professional in English and Arabic languages.
