Job Description

Hyatt Place Kuala Lumpur, Bukit Jalil is seeking an Engineering Team Lead to join its team. This role reports to the Maintenance & Security Manager.

The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of experience in engineering, maintenance, or facilities management, preferably in hospitality.

This role requires a strong background in HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire safety, and BMS, as well as knowledge of preventive maintenance and energy conservation.

  • Responsibilities:
  • Supervise maintenance staff closely,
  • Ensure duties are performed according to hotel policies, procedures, and laws,
  • Collaborate with other departments,
  • Complete maintenance requests promptly with high-quality results,
  • Monitor safety conditions and conduct patrols,
  • Coordinate preventive maintenance with Housekeeping,
  • Manage maintenance and energy expenses,
  • Conduct safety incident reports and daily briefings.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Education: Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, or related Engineering discipline.
  • Experience: 3–5 years in engineering, maintenance, or facilities management, preferably in hospitality.
  • Technical Skills: Knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire safety, and BMS.
  • Certifications (preferred): CEM, OSHA, Electrical Wireman License, or similar.
  • Leadership: Experience supervising teams, strong decision-making skills.
  • Communication: Effective verbal and written skills, proficient in Microsoft Office, CMMS, AutoCAD.
