Fire Sprinkler Systems Specialist

A Fire Sprinkler Technician will be physically located in the region, supporting a government contract.
DescriptionThis role involves performing routine and emergency maintenance on fire sprinkler systems and equipment, components, and subsystems. The technician will work under supervision to ensure compliance with UFC 3-601-02 and NFPA 25 standards.
Key Responsibilities:- Maintain and repair water-based sprinkler and suppression systems.
- Conduct inspections, testing, and maintenance of fire protection systems according to established guidelines.
- Perform tasks such as main drain tests, Pitot gauge testing, hydrostatic testing, backflow prevention, and more, per industry standards.
- Utilize hand tools, shop tools, and equipment for repairs and maintenance.
- Troubleshoot, repair, or replace defective components of sprinkler systems, fire pumps, standpipes, and other related equipment.
Candidates must possess:
- Minimum two years documented experience as a Fire Suppression/Sprinkler System Technician.
- Knowledge of fire suppression/sprinkler systems and ability to perform hydraulic calculations preferred.
- Valid driver's license and ability to obtain required licenses.
- Proficiency in English to understand instructions and complete reports.
The selected candidate will work in extreme weather conditions, including temperatures exceeding 120°F, and may be required to perform services outside normal hours.
Physical RequirementsThis role involves light work, exerting up to 20 pounds occasionally and 10 pounds frequently or constantly, and may involve heavy lifting, stooping, climbing, and prolonged standing or sitting.
