Electrical Systems Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Electrical Systems Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, inspecting, and maintaining electrical systems and components.

The ideal candidate will have at least 5-7 years of experience in the electrical wiring industry, including planning, laying out, and installing electrical distribution systems according to NEC standards.

You will work on electrical installation in commercial and industrial settings, with no more than 75% in any one category. Experience with electrical systems, including secondary distribution and interior systems, starting from the facility service entrance conductors at the low voltage side of the transformer, is required.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Troubleshoot and repair wire circuits, including electrical equipment such as distribution panels, transformers, motor control circuits for motors, and control devices for various electrical devices and supporting electrical wiring distribution systems.
  • Connect electrical distribution systems for remote locations to on-site electrical generating equipment such as diesel generator sets and electrical distribution switchgear, including installation of panel boards, branch circuits, breakers, switches, conduit, and wiring.
  • Provide technical support for UPS, Generators, and HVAC systems.
  • Responsible for inspection and maintenance of all electrical systems, including electrical appliances and outlets (GFI circuits, emergency lighting, fire alarm systems).

Required Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • At least 5-7 years of work experience in the electrical wiring industry.
  • Experience with electrical installation in commercial and industrial settings.
  • Knowledge of electrical systems, including secondary distribution and interior systems.

Additional Requirements:

  • Familiarity with the British electrical code and connectors.
  • Knowledge of Facility UPSs and smaller rack-mounted UPSs.
  • Familiarity with HVAC electrical systems.
