At Vectrus, we are seeking a highly skilled Master Armament Systems Maintenance Specialist to join our team. This role will be physically located in Kuwait and involves working with complex small arm weapon systems, including machine guns, launchers, and mortar systems.

We are committed to providing a comprehensive maintenance solution that meets the needs of our customers. As a Master Armament Systems Maintenance Specialist, you will be responsible for monitoring, inspecting, analyzing, and examining small arm weapons and complex small arm weapon systems.

  • Determines the nature and extent of repairs required; disassembles; examines parts and assemblies as required; reassembles; and adjusts components.
  • Determines serviceability of weapons and parts; exercises initiative to maintain productive progress and accepts responsibility for the results from Field Maintenance Support Operations.
Key Responsibilities

This position requires excellent technical skills and knowledge of Technical and Commercial manuals for Servicing, Operational and Repair. You must be capable of giving and receiving instructions and have expert knowledge of Corrective Actions performed by the Maintenance Teams.

You will perform field/sustainment level initial, in-progress, and final inspections on fire control system components, towed artillery fire control systems, self-propelled artillery fire control systems, tank fire control systems, small arms, other weapons, and towed artillery.

You will also verify/perform Borescope and Pullover Gauging, perform field and sustainment level inspections of laser range finders, ballistic computers, laser observation devices, laser designators, thermal imaging systems, periscopes, telescopes, commander's weapon station/auxiliary sights, aiming circles, image transfer assemblies, quadrants, mount assemblies, fire control support equipment, and TMDE.

As a Master Armament Systems Maintenance Specialist, you will operate and inspect equipment to diagnose and troubleshoot defects. You will use technical manuals, bulletins, and written directives in the performance of all inspections.

You will examine parts for damage or excessive wear using micrometers and/or gauges, order required repair parts using appropriate parts manuals, test equipment to ensure operating efficiency, perform PQDRs, ECODs, etc., and verify condition codes.

Additional responsibilities include performing battlefield damage assessment and repair (BDAR), classifying equipment for disposal IAW Army regulations, and verifying equipment condition codes.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you must possess a high school diploma or equivalent and formal training in MOS 91 F or G course conducted under the auspices of the U.S. Army Ordnance School.

You should have 8-10 years of experience in Armament systems maintenance and possess the technical skills to identify different repair requirements as it pertains to Armament Equipment.

You must be capable of giving and receiving instructions, have expert knowledge of Corrective Actions performed by the Maintenance Teams, and be proficient in all phases of the paperwork that pertains to the Services, maintenance, repairs, classification, etc.

Working Environment

The work environment is generally conducted indoors but can also be done outdoors with potential exposure to extreme climatic conditions.

You may be exposed to oil, grease, and solvents, and may frequently be exposed to the possibility of minor cuts and bruises.

Estimated Salary Range:

$65,000 - $90,000 per annum, based on location and experience.
