Job Description:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Technical Maintenance Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the readiness and operability of armament systems.

Your primary responsibilities will include performing field/sustainment level inspections on fire control system components, towed artillery fire control systems, self-propelled artillery fire control systems, tank fire control systems, small arms, other weapons, and towed artillery. You will also verify/perform Borescope and Pullover Gauging, as well as operate and inspect equipment to diagnose and troubleshoot defects.

To be successful in this role, you must have a strong background in armament systems maintenance and a minimum of 8-10 years of experience in this field. You must also possess excellent technical skills, including the ability to read, speak, and legibly write English.

Additionally, you must have expert knowledge of TMDE and its proper usage, as well as the ability to troubleshoot, service, and repair armament systems. You must also be proficient in all phases of the paperwork that pertains to services, maintenance, repairs, classification, etc.

We offer a competitive salary range of $120,000 - $180,000 per year, depending on experience, as well as a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision insurance, 401(k) matching, and paid time off.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform field/sustainment level inspections on fire control system components, towed artillery fire control systems, self-propelled artillery fire control systems, tank fire control systems, small arms, other weapons, and towed artillery
  • Verify/perform Borescope and Pullover Gauging
  • Operate and inspect equipment to diagnose and troubleshoot defects
  • Use technical manuals, bulletins, and written directives in the performance of all inspections
  • Examine parts for damage or excessive wear using micrometers and/or gauges
  • Order required repair parts using appropriate parts manuals
  • Test equipment to ensure operating efficiency
  • Perform PQDRs, ECODs, etc., and verify condition codes
  • Perform battlefield damage assessment and repair (BDAR)

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in armament systems maintenance
  • Excellent technical skills, including the ability to read, speak, and legibly write English
  • Expert knowledge of TMDE and its proper usage
  • Ability to troubleshoot, service, and repair armament systems
  • Proficient in all phases of the paperwork that pertains to services, maintenance, repairs, classification, etc.

Working Environment:

Work is generally conducted indoors but can also be done outdoors with potential exposure to extreme climatic conditions. Work may require lifting, stooping, climbing, prolonged standing, prolonged sitting, and working with or in areas where exposure to physical, chemical, or biological agents could exist.

May be exposed to oil, grease, and solvents. May frequently be exposed to the possibility of minor cuts and bruises. Employee use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is required in certain areas.

Such PPE includes but is not limited to head, foot, hand, torso, respiratory, vision, and hearing protective devices. Must comply with OSHA, EPA, Fire Regulations, and published Company work rules.

Physical Activities:

Work may require lifting very heavy objects, stooping, climbing, prolonged standing, prolonged sitting, and working with or in areas where exposure to physical, chemical, or biological agents could exist.
