Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Accounting Professional to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for handling all accounting operations and maintaining accurate, up-to-date records in the accounting system.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Record and manage client invoices and financial transactions within our platform.
  • Ensure timely and accurate posting of payments, credits, and adjustments.
  • Reconcile transaction data between internal systems, bank statements, merchant accounts, and client records.
  • Conduct bank and merchant reconciliations, ensuring payment records match across systems.
  • Submit timely and accurate financial reports, and assist in generating regular reports and summaries for clients.
  • Ensure all financial data complies with internal policies, accounting standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Support the Finance Manager in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and yearly budgets, as well as accurate cash flow tracking.
  • Maintain and monitor the petty cash system with proper documentation and approvals.
  • Assist in external and internal audits, ensuring timely adjustments and proper documentation.
  • Respond to internal or client inquiries related to transactions, invoices, and account balances.
  • Collaborate with Customer Success and Operations teams to resolve discrepancies or missing data.
  • Suggest improvements in financial processes, systems, or policies to drive efficiency and growth.
  • Ensure compliance with local and national government reporting requirements and tax filings.
  • Report any accounting issues directly to the responsible party or supervisor.
  • Perform additional finance-related tasks or responsibilities as assigned by the Finance Manager.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's in Accounting or Finance.
  • 2-3 years of experience, preferably in tech, e-commerce, or retail.
  • Experienced in handling large volumes of data.
  • Very strong experience in reconciliation, accounting, and bookkeeping
  • Experience with creating financial statements and general ledgers
  • Experience with Xero accounting software strongly preferred.
  • Experience in large volume merchant reconciliation.
  • Solid understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and/or Google Sheets.
  • Familiarity with accounting software or ERP systems is a plus.
