UAV Systems Engineer Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled UAV Systems Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will have a minimum of 4 years of experience operating UAVs in a professional setting and will be responsible for designing, developing, and integrating UAV systems.

About the Role:

This is an exciting opportunity to work with a leading company in the field of advanced systems and technology. The successful candidate will have a strong command of various drone platforms, including DJI, and will be comfortable working with complex systems and technologies.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Design, develop, and integrate UAV systems, including hardware and software components
  2. Develop and implement Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for UAV operations
  3. Maintain and repair UAV equipment, ensuring optimal performance and safety
  4. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to plan and execute UAV missions
  5. Provide training and support to junior team members on UAV operations and safety protocols

Requirements:

  1. Minimum 4 years of experience operating UAVs in a professional setting
  2. Strong command of various drone platforms, including DJI
  3. Familiarity with UAV mission planning tools, such as DJI Pilot and QGroundControl
  4. Knowledge of airspace rules, risk assessment, and weather impact
  5. Experience with various payloads, including RGB, IR, and UV payloads
  6. Proficiency in data quality control, crew management, and UAV maintenance
  7. Comfortable with fieldwork, off-road driving, and harsh environments
  8. Engineering degree preferred (Aero/Mechanical/Electrical)
  9. FAA Part 107 equivalent understanding (license is a plus)
  10. Strong English communication skills (Arabic is a plus)
