A key role for a Production Engineer is to drive process improvements and new product introductions in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Capacity Planning and Analysis: Conduct thorough analysis of production capacity to optimize workflows and minimize bottlenecks.
  2. Time Study and Standard Methods: Implement efficient time study techniques to standardize processes and reduce waste.
  3. Value Stream Design and Mapping: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and map value streams, ensuring seamless workflow execution.
  4. Manufacturing Cost Reduction: Continuously identify and implement cost-saving initiatives to improve overall profitability.
  5. Lean Principles and Training: Apply Lean principles to eliminate non-value-added activities and conduct regular training sessions to promote a culture of continuous improvement.

Your Key Accountabilities:

  • Design and Improve Production Lines: Plan, design, and optimize production lines to maximize efficiency and productivity.
  • SOP Development and Operator Training: Create and update Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and provide relevant operator training to ensure smooth operations.
  • Production Jig and Tool Design: Design and manage production jigs and tools to enhance quality and consistency.
  • Daily Production Operations Support: Provide daily support to production operations, troubleshooting issues and implementing corrective actions as needed.
  • Process Improvement Initiatives: Coordinate and support process improvement initiatives to drive business growth and efficiency.
  • Quality Management and Compliance: Ensure adherence to QMS, EHS, 5S, and business standards, promoting a culture of quality and safety.
  • R&D Support: Assist R&D teams with new product introductions, providing expertise in production planning and execution.
  • Production Investment Planning: Contribute to production investment planning, identifying opportunities for growth and efficiency enhancements.
  • Additional Responsibilities: Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor, contributing to the overall success of the organization.
