Lead Cyber Security Architect

Canonical is seeking a skilled and experienced Lead Cyber Security Architect to join its team. In this critical role, you will be responsible for designing and implementing effective security strategies that protect our infrastructure, products, and customers.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in cybersecurity, with expertise in architecture, risk management, and incident response. They will collaborate closely with the SecOps team to develop and implement security standards, playbooks, and training programs.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and implement robust security architectures that meet or exceed industry best practices
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive security policies and procedures
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure security integration into product development and deployment
  • Provide expert guidance on security-related matters, including threat analysis and remediation
  • Stay up-to-date with emerging threats and technologies, and adapt security strategies accordingly

Requirements:

  • Proven track record of mitigating advanced threats and nation-state attacks
  • Deep understanding of security architecture, risk management, and incident response
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with experience in mentoring and training teams
  • Expertise in Linux security, cloud security, and containerization
  • Knowledge of security standards and frameworks, including NIST CSF
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a high degree of autonomy and flexibility

Nice to Have:

  • Experience with open-source security tools and frameworks
  • Background in offensive or defensive security teams
  • Knowledge of security posture management and corporate endpoint security
