Key Responsibilities:

  1. Material Examination: Receives, examines and determines the condition and disposition of a variety of materials, ensuring accuracy in property documentation.
  2. Documentation Verification: Reviews disposal turn-in documents and compares data against property records to ensure correct information and proper documentation.
  3. Hazardous Material Handling: Determines condition and reportability of hazardous materials and assigns appropriate classification instructions for warehousing.
  4. Inventories and Records: Performs periodic inventory of property, re-palletizes/re-locates as necessary, and ensures accurate records are maintained.

Requirements:

  • A U.S. citizen is required for this position.
  • The work schedule is set, and the security requirements are Non-Critical Sensitive.
  • A suitability or fitness determination is necessary for appointment, and unfavorably adjudicated background checks will be grounds for removal.
  • Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) exempt status applies.
  • Selective Service Requirement: Males born after 12-31-59 must be registered or exempt from Selective Service.
