Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Welding Inspector to join our team in Kuwait. As a key member of our logistics support team, you will be responsible for conducting inspections of body work, welding, canvas, and machining repairs on military vehicles and metal fabrications. Your expertise will ensure that all work is performed in accordance with Army Technical manuals and AWS Welding Code requirements.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct initial, in-progress, and final inspections of body, canvas, and welding repairs and metal fabrications to ensure compliance with applicable Army regulations, technical manuals, and industry standards.
  • Perform field-level technical inspections and supervision on fabrication, repair, and modifications of metallic and non-metallic parts.
  • Conduct visual and/or non-destructive testing to determine welds meet quality standards.
  • Read blueprints, sketches, and modification orders to plan processes and layouts for expeditious, economical, and effective execution.
  • Determine type and quantity of materials needed to perform repairs or fabrications based on customer work requests.

Requirements:
  • Must have minimum 2 years of experience in welding inspection.
  • AWS certified and knowledgeable in corrosion prevention programs.
  • Expert knowledge of functions and processes such as preparing ECOD, ACOD, ECOR, or PQDR.
  • Able to obtain a CAC and Logistics Information Warehouse (LIW) account.
  • Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills, with ability to work effectively with employees and management at all levels.
  • High-level communication skills in English, both verbally and written.
  • Basic proficiency in Word, Excel, and Outlook applications.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret reports and documents.
