About the Job
  • The Electronics Technician will troubleshoot and repair COMSEC/controlled cryptographic devices and other electronic equipment under the supervision of the Lead.
  • This role requires strong technical knowledge of electronic units and systems, as well as experience with diagnostic tools such as multimeters and oscilloscopes.
  • The successful candidate will work closely with multi-national staff, superiors, and ranking military officers to ensure seamless communication and collaboration.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Test faulty equipment and apply comprehensive technical knowledge of functional operation to diagnose cause(s) of malfunctions and solve complex problems.
  • Replace defective components and wiring, adjusting mechanical parts using various tools and techniques.
  • Maintain written records of repairs, calibration, tests, and time expenditure, adhering to quality control and assurance standards.
  • Primary repairer of all COMSEC and controlled cryptographic equipment, analyzing datasets to identify data anomalies or quality issues.
  • Perform field maintenance on intercommunications systems in tactical vehicles, night vision devices, and ground surveillance radars (GSRs).

Qualifications:

  • Minimum Qualifications: High School Graduate or equivalent, completion of formal military or civilian training in electronics maintenance, and Pace soldering Level I and II training strongly desired.
  • Clearance Requirements: Ability to obtain a Secret Clearance.
  • Experience: Five years practical experience in electronics repair/maintenance preferred, with at least two years at the sustainment maintenance level.
  • Skills: Collaborative work style, ability to work effectively with employees and management of all levels, and intermediate ability to communicate in English, both verbally and written.
