Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Regional Tax Specialist to bolster our global tax team's presence in the Middle East. This role will support Worley projects and locations in Bahrain, Iraq, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, and the UAE.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain a regional tax control framework for our Middle Eastern entities.
  • Work closely with regional and location finance teams, external tax advisors, and other stakeholders in the region on tax compliance, audit management, and six-monthly tax effect accounting.
  • Partner with regional operational teams on project-related tax advisory matters.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in managing CIT, VAT & WHT reporting and compliance in the Middle East.
  • Monitor developments in Middle Eastern direct, indirect, and international tax legislation and administration, taking appropriate action as needed.
  • Tax & Finance technology experience or affiliation is an asset.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to read Arabic being a plus.
  • Strong team player with a mature, proactive, resourceful, and hands-on approach.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in tax accounting, tax law, or a related field.
  • Relevant years of experience in an international environment, preferably with a Big 4 firm or in the tax department of an international company.
