This is a senior-level position in the fire prevention department, responsible for overseeing and administering various fire suppression and prevention activities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervision and Administration: Provide leadership and guidance to a team of fire inspectors, ensuring that they are equipped to carry out their duties effectively.
- Inspection and Investigation: Conduct thorough inspections of commercial structures and businesses to identify potential fire hazards and take corrective action as necessary.
- Public Education and Awareness: Develop and implement public education programs to promote fire safety and prevent fires.
- Report Writing and Analysis: Prepare and submit detailed reports on fire incidents, including cause and origin analysis, and make recommendations for improvement.

Requirements:
- Education and Certifications: A high school diploma or equivalent is required. Relevant certifications, such as DOD, IFSAC, or National Pro-Board Certifications, are preferred.
- Experience: A minimum of five (5) years of experience in fire emergency services as a Fire Inspector/Fire Investigator is required.
- Skills: Knowledge of fire prevention and suppression methods, safety principles pertaining to fire protection, and knowledge of fire hazards common to commercial, industrial, and residential structures.
Working Conditions:
- The incumbent must be capable of working in extreme weather conditions with temperatures exceeding 120 degrees Fahrenheit.
- The work environment includes some industrial production conditions.
Physical Requirements:
- The work may require heavy lifting, stooping, climbing, prolonged standing, and prolonged sitting.
- The employee must comply with all fire and safety regulations and post policies.
