About the Role

As a Diagnostic Imaging Radiographer, your primary responsibility will be to perform radiologic mammography exams, including advanced procedures such as stereotactic biopsies and clip placements. You will also be responsible for performing quality control functions related to modalities, including DEXA scans.

 

Duties and Responsibilities:
  1. Assist the Radiologist with procedures, including stereotactic core biopsy, galactography, needle localizations, and ultrasound-guided aspirations and cores.

  2. Demonstrate knowledge and application of radiation safety principles for both patients and self.

  3. Participate in departmental Quality Control as required.

  4. Position patients and equipment to capture the correct area and produce clear images.

  5. Prepare and educate patients about the imaging procedure.

  6. Maintain patients' records during and after procedures.

  7. Monitor patients and ensure their safety during imaging procedures.

  8. Calibrate the equipment to provide clear, usable images.

  9. Log and organize image results, develop film, and assist with the interpretation of the radiograph results.

  10. Consult with Radiologists to determine if other images need to be taken.

  11. Ensure the proper sterilization and storage of the equipment.

  12. Maintain radiographic equipment and report any equipment failures.

 

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

  • A Bachelor Degree in Radiologic Technology.
  • Kuwait MOH license if available.
  • Minimum of 3 years experience in Diagnostic Imaging with knowledge in diagnostic modalities such as Computed Tomography, Magnetic Resonance Imaging, General X-ray, mammogram, and DEXA scan.
  • Graduate of an accredited/professional University or Institution.
  • Current active and registered Radiography Licensure/Qualifications in Radiology from a professional University or Institution.
  • Certificates of continuing education, seminars attended.
