As a Quality Assurance Coordinator, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and integrity of our environmental services in Kuwait. You will work closely with our environmental specialist personnel to ensure that all tasks are completed in accordance with public works and industry standards.

Responsibilities include:

  • Assisting in data collection and formulating reports for environmental services, environmental inspections, and urgent/emergency situations.
  • Ensuring that all assigned areas are in environmental compliance in accordance with public works and industry standards.
  • Developing and implementing procedures for capturing data related to environmental compliance work orders.
  • Assisting in maintaining cleanliness of assigned areas in accordance with the V2Z LOGCAP V Performance.
  • Performing routine inspections of all assigned areas to ensure that all employees are meeting established standards.
  • Transporting supplies to various work sites to ensure compliance at sites.
  • Inspecting Environmental Subcontract SOWs for compliance.
  • Assisting in maintaining adequate supplies with Regulatory Compliance sections.
  • Assessing environmental impact sites, conducting inspections, and performing annual audits.
  • Driving to other LCV camps is required, i.e., Buehring, KNB, SPOD, APOD, Ali Al Salem.
  • Other duties assigned as required.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum Qualifications:
    • High School diploma (Associate degree a plus)
    • Training related to Environmental services
    • Familiarized with environmental training on proper handling of hazardous materials, hazardous communication.
    • Valid home country and host nations local Kuwait driver's license (driving is required)
    • HAZWOPER 40 hr. certification/keep up annual 24-hour or 8 hours refresher training as required
    • Must be able to read, write, and comprehend English/Level 4.
    • Valid passport
    • Ability to obtain Kuwait VISA.
  • Experience:
    • Two years' experience
  • Skills:
    • Practices, methods, equipment, tools, and materials used in environmental compliance work.
    • Principles and practices of working safely.
    • Excellent written and verbal communications required.
    • Must be flexible and have excellent interpersonal skills.
    • Must be able to recognize and quickly resolve customer issues, lead the environmental compliance team, and work independently with little or no supervision.
  • Working Conditions:
    • Ability to work in extreme weather conditions with temperatures exceeding 120 degrees Fahrenheit.
    • Indoor and/or outdoor environment with very adverse and harsh conditions (i.e., hot, dry, duty, desert environment with average temperatures of 30 degrees in the winter and 130 degrees in the summer months).
    • Includes some industrial production environment conditions as well.
  • Physical Requirements:
    • Medium work. Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 30 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
    • Work may require heavy lifting, stooping, climbing, prolonged standing, prolonged sitting, and working with or in areas where a potential could exist for exposure to physical, chemical, or biological agents.
    • Employee use of personal protective equipment (PPE) is required for some situations. PPE includes, but is not limited to, head, foot, torso, respiratory, vision, and hearing protective devices.
    • Must comply with all Fire and Safety Regulations and post policies.
